Lusail International Circuit, just north of Doha, is one of only two venues in the world to host Formula 1, MotoGP and the FIA World Endurance Championship in the same calendar year. Originally built in under a year for $58 million in 2004, it was designed primarily for motorcycle racing.
Ahead of Formula 1’s return in 2023, Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) delivered an extensive upgrade adding the world’s longest pit-lane building at 402 metres with 50 pit boxes, expanded grandstands and new paddock facilities, engineered to FIA and FIM’s most demanding safety standards.
