Old Street is one of London’s busiest interchange stations, sitting beneath a major roundabout at the southern edge of the ‘Silicon Roundabout’ tech district and serving both the Northern line and National Rail services on the Northern City Line.

Built by the City and South London Railway and opened in 1901, the station was rebuilt by Stanley Heaps in 1925 and has been progressively upgraded since to cope with rising passenger numbers far beyond what the original structure was built for.
