TQEC Building — University of Bristol

The Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus is the University of Bristol’s new 38,000 sq m flagship building beside Temple Meads station, replacing a derelict Royal Mail sorting office that had stood empty for over twenty years.

Designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine, with Buro Happold as engineer, the six-storey building overcame flood risk and soil contamination on its site to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating. It is connected to Bristol’s district heating network and opens to students and staff in September 2026.
