Traffic Frequency
The number of times that a load travels across a jointing system can have significant impact upon the life expectancy of the product.
Traffic Frequency
Traffic Frequency relates to the maximum number of passes that a load makes across a given joint system per day and has been broken down into 8 groups:
- TF1 ≤ 10 transits per day
- TF2 ≤ 100 transits per day
- TF3 ≤ 1,000 transits per day
- TF4 ≤ 2,500 transits per day
- TF5 ≤ 5,000 transits per day
- TF6 ≤ 10,000 transits per day
- TF7 ≤ 25,000 transits per day
- TF8 > 25,000 transits per day
Traffic Frequency is rated across five load types:
a) Loading from pedestrian traffic
b) Loading from trolleys and pallet trucks
c) Loading from forklift trucks, scissor lifts and cherry pickers
d) Loading from passenger cars
e) Loading from heavy transport vehicles
