Seismic pan expansion joint system for walls

SeismAtec is Vexcolt’s seismic pan expansion joint system, built for floors and walls that need to withstand major structural movement. Unlike a standard floor joint, SeismAtec uses a continuous aluminium pan combined with pivot plates instead of a fixed seal. As a result, the system can absorb sudden seismic shifts without breaking the walking surface. In addition, the pivot plates form ADA-compliant ramps if the pan lifts during an earthquake, so people with disabilities can still evacuate safely. Meanwhile, a centering bar and reinforcing mesh keep the whole assembly properly aligned within the epoxy mortar bed.
