Introducing the FlexAtec 1000-A07-A09
Vexcolt has added a wall-mounted variant to its FlexAtec 1000 range: the FlexAtec 1000-A07-A09, a multi-purpose seal expansion joint built for wall-to-wall and corner-wall applications. It complements the existing floor-to-floor FlexAtec 1000-A01-A02, giving specifiers a matched system that carries the same movement performance across both floor and wall junctions.
The joint is constructed from closed-cell foam with a smooth, watertight surface that sits flush with surrounding finishes. It’s tested to ASTM E-1399 for both Class I thermal and Class II wind movement, and covers a wide span of gap widths, from 10 mm up to 100 mm, with matching heights from 25 mm to 89 mm depending on the gap selected.
Colour options include Concrete Grey, Black, and White, with Black offering UV protection where the joint will be exposed to sunlight; Concrete Grey and White remain UV sensitive and are better suited to internal applications. For projects with fire compartmentation requirements, the joint is available with an optional 120 or 240-minute fire barrier rating, and can be supplied pre-assembled and install-ready to reduce on-site labour.
The FlexAtec 1000-A07-A09 is supplied in 10-metre lengths and suits a broad range of building types, from airport terminals and hospitals to shopping centres, car parks, and residential buildings, anywhere a wall or corner joint needs to accommodate movement without compromising the finish.
