Oriel is the new integrated home for Moorfields Eye Hospital, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Charity, bringing eye care, research and education together on the former St Pancras Hospital site in Camden.
The ten-storey, 47,000 sq m building is designed by Penoyre & Prasad (a Perkins&Will studio) with White Arkitekter, and is being delivered by Bouygues UK under a £300 million contract. It is arranged around a central atrium — the building’s namesake ‘oriel’ — and is expected to open in 2027.
